Looking at my silver cord I remember I am human;
is it a form, a feeling or a fate?
Are humans the ones with Humanity
or anyone with a human body?
After the ship sails, do humans keep being humans?
If we go our way into exile, maybe to ancestral lands, should we believe we keep in ourselves a bit of our humanity?
What do we have to sow so we can harvest the sweet fruits of Humanity?
And so I heard we have to perish as humans of the earth to live as humans of the heavens.
But the one who was hardly humane should try again indeed, as it is in the end very humane of us.
But don’t grieve whenever you fail – for failing is only a lesson and not a destiny. But come back and try again. There is no cure without action. Not even the most sublime of the verses or the most tender symphony could be able to mend a broken heart – for all it needs is a generous human smile.
Can a human alter destiny? Or aren’t we all, together, destiny? But to go beyond this web of events, that is to master our day and age. That is what it means to live beyond. It is by no means superior. For superiority is an illusion of the human ego; a beautiful fruit spoiled inside, a slave of the senses, and therefore not beyond.
First, it is through acceptance of the human state and form – and second, it is through admitting the unity in us. And then it may be nothing else. Or maybe there comes more seven.
“What is your form?” “I’m trying to understand.”
To avoid all the feelings, specially the uncomfortable ones – like anger or hate – or to avoid at all costs the miseries and anxieties – that is not the desirable; but to carry on with integrity and humanity, besides all the heavy load – that is to go beyond. If you bring peace to the times of war, you are crowned with success, but if no war ever happens you are just a victim of destiny, not a thinker.
Sometimes we rush but nature shows us the pace of time. It knows the now and what happens later. Don’t fill yourself with fear but drink from the waters of mercy. You shall rise above and beyond. Open your eyes so you may see. With eyes open the way is easy. It is pure harmony and balance, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
I remember I am human. But luckily I have the night to dream and to be freer. It is out of necessity that I breathe differently when I sleep. But if things far away don’t interest you, I agree, we already have too much at our hands.
And right now it is all about being humane and trying to comprehend it within ourselves, not elsewhere. But how can we become more humane each day? It is by looking at us and perceiving how we love the other. And re-building the trust, that’s how we can have Humanity again. In times of lack of trust, hopelessness and bitter fruits, how are we within ourselves committed to change? And it is through practice, more than through devoted study, that we find this enhancement. And the nobility of character is almost always found in silence – the loud voices are seeking for something outside, while the quiet ones already know the source is inside. It is necessary the silence to hear the music.
To be born with many of the noble qualities: that is rare, that almost never happens, and if it does, I would also like to enjoy this melody. To be trapped and never seek enhancement: that is genuine sorrow. We may need to embark on a journey to be able to discover our treasures. But to remain in ignorance, that is genuine sorrow. It is through our love and willingness to learn that we become more humane, and so inspire people and bring people together, in a sense of duty. And for the mistakes on the way: look at then like natural phenomena and don’t be ashamed of them, but of yourself if you can’t learn from them.
“The noble-minded seek within themselves. Little people seek elsewhere.”
