Edited version of Wilhelm Leibl’s masterpiece. He was a German realistic painter, born in Köln. This week I have seen his wonderful work “The Unequal Couple” at Städel Museum in Frankfurt. His works are so realistic as he wanted it to be.
We can depict from the “Unequal Couple” (above) a very realistic situation, in which the girl seems to be feeling awkward, while the man seems to be feeling happy with the situation and maybe trying to draw her out.
We can predict that she is going to throw all the content of the cup in the peasant if he approximates more. Why are they spending their idle hours together?
To finalize a cool quote of the artist:
‘I paint people the way they are, their soul is already there anyway’
(Wilhelm Leibl)
